Amy of Amy Make Mobile brings her needle-felting drop-in to the block every Tuesday afternoon, and it's exactly as charming as it sounds. It's free, it's all-ages, it's outdoors, and it runs on the simplest premise there is: sit down, get your hands into some wool, and make a small soft thing that didn't exist an hour ago.
If you've never felted before, you're in good company — that's most of who shows up. Amy walks newcomers through it, and the barrier to entry is basically zero. Kids take to it instantly. Adults find it unexpectedly meditative. The felting-curious of every age end up staying longer than they planned.
It's also just a lovely excuse to be outside and around people, which is half of what these drop-ins are for. You don't have to buy anything, you don't have to commit to the whole session, and you absolutely don't have to be good at it. You just have to show up and be willing to poke some wool with a needle for a while.
