Orders and Shipping
When will you restock a particular item?
If the item is in stock with our distributors, it usually takes approximately a week from ordering to arrive in-store. Note that some items are ordered on a less frequent basis, and some items we are unable to stock long term. If you want to be notified when an item is restocked, please contact us or make an Order Request.
Can you order something for me?
Yes. If we are able to source it from our distributors, we're happy to bring most items in for you. Please contact us to make an Order Request.
Do you ship to my country?
We offer shipping to other countries but we currently don't ship to the U.S.

If your country isn't listed as a shipping option, please send us an email and we will take care of you!
What shipping methods are available?

Across Canada, we typically ship with Canada Post's Expedited Package service. Orders over $150 pre-tax ship for free. You also have the option to visit us in store and pick up your order for no charge.

For orders to the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, we use Trexity's delivery service. If you order before 12PM, you may get same-day delivery.

For International orders, we typically use Canada Post, and occasionally UPS.

I live in the U.S. How can I order from you?
Currently we are not shipping to the United States, so if you're using a U.S. address, you cannot check out.

If you are visiting Vancouver, you can still make an order for pick-up - just use our store address: 1238 Davie St, Vancouver BC V6E 1N3 Canada, and select Pick-Up at checkout.

Store Hours & Policies
I'm under age. Can I visit your store?
Yes. We have separated the store into two halves. One half is suitable for all ages and the other is for adults 18+ only.
Why do you need my bag? Do you think I'm a thief?
Not at all. Unfortunately, theft has become increasingly common in downtown Vancouver, and as a small independent business we have limited resources to prevent it. Asking customers to leave larger bags, backpacks, or shopping totes at the counter helps deter theft and allows everyone to browse comfortably and without interruption. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Can you hold an item for me?
Yes, we can take an item off the floor and hold it for you for 48 hours. If you have made an Order Request for an item we will hold it for a week.

If you can't make it in time, kindly let us know when you can, or we will place your item back on the sales floor.

Do you have a change room?
Yes, we have two change rooms. Please take no more than 3 items in the change room at once.
Are you open on [Statutory Holiday]?

Yes. If our hours are changing for a holiday, we will update our Google Business Profile and paste a physical notice on our doors.

Do you have a bathroom?

No, we do not have a bathroom available for the public.

There are several public bathrooms nearby: ask customer service at The Independent Grocer, use the restrooms across the intersection from Jim Deva plaza, or visit one of the many nearby cafes.

What is there to do around here?

Do you carry the Georgia Straight or Xtra Magazine?
Yes, The Georgia Straight gets delivered to our store.

Xtra Magazine has moved to an online-only publication.

Is this a cruising spot? Do you offer any extra services?
No. We are simply a retail space.
Products & Focus
Do you sell books?
Yes. We are a Queer Bookstore, and our focus is on 2SLGBTQIA+ literature. If a book doesn't include queer content, it's likely we don't carry it.
Do you sell any art or art supplies?
We sell framed photography, photo books, graphic novels and greeting cards, but we don't carry any art supplies. The name of our business hasn’t changed from its inception, but our focus on art has taken a back seat.
Do you sell tickets?
No, most ticket sales today are conducted by the hosting venue or event organizers.
Do you sell clothing?
Yes. We carry t-shirts, shorts, baseball caps, underwear, socks, body harnesses, chest binders, and a selection of leather gear and lingerie. We have a focus on party wear.
